Released at the 2021 Needlework Expo, these tiny Biscornus would make a great gift for a stitchy friend, choose the biscornu to match her name. These would also look charming grouped together as a collection in a basket.
What makes these biscornu super special is that each letter includes a decorative specialty stitch to match the cross sitched letter ie. A includes Algerian Eyelets, B includes Brighton Stitch, C includes Closed Chevron, D includes Diamond Eyelet and E includes Ermine Stitch. So you will be learning new stitches as you go. Large charts and instructions are included for both the cross sittch and the decoative stitch. The sweet little hand dyed buttons are also included.
Biscornu
There is something so appealing about a biscornu pincushion. What is a biscornu? It is an octagonal pincushion, originating in France, where the name means “quirky”, “skewed” and “irregular”.
