Class Policies

How to register for classes

You can sign up for classes on our website, in person at Stitch or by calling us on 02 9958 6038. We require full payment of the deposit at the time of booking in order to reserve your place in the class. The balance of the payment is due by the end of the first day of the class.

Class materials

The materials and tools needed for each class varies, so please refer to the course description. Once you book, you’ll receive a list of the supplies you’ll need to bring. You will receive a 10% discount on your class day if you wish to purchase supplies in the shop, however it’s best to plan ahead and arrive early in case it is busy. If you'd like to buy your supplies prior to class day, just let us know and we'll provide you with the same discount. If you have any questions about what you’ll need to bring, please contact us.

Cancellation Policy

We do not issue refunds on class bookings unless we have cancelled the class.

Our Classes require a great deal of pre-planning, including ordering supplies and tools, booking staff and making commitments to pay our teachers. When students ask to cancel or reschedule, we lose money. As a small business, it is extremely difficult for us to absorb these costs and keep our class fees low.

In fairness to all of our customers, we are unable to make exceptions to our policy, including for reasons of illness, travel or family emergency. If you feel you have an exceptional case to plead,  we are given enough notice and at the discretion of the management, we will attempt to fill your place in the class and if successful, issue you with a refund.

We require a deposit in full to go forward with a class. If we must cancel a class for any reason you will be offered a full refund or we will offer you a place in the class the next time it is scheduled or move your deposit to another class we have on offer.

If you are transferred to a new class, either by your request or because we had to cancel your original booking, these policies apply to the new booking. This means that if we have to cancel a class that you are booked onto and you choose to move to a new date rather than taking a refund, you cannot request a refund at a later date.

Late policy

If you arrive more than 30 minutes late you will not be able to take part in the class and you will not be able to move to another class or receive a refund. Classes start promptly. We cannot hold the class back if you are running late and we may not be able to go over what you have missed if you arrive late. There is a lot to get through in our classes and it isn’t fair on other paying students if we have to stop and go back to explain things to late students.
