English Paper Piecing & Finishing Mini Course (deposit)

In this class we will: Use what you have, recycle, upcycle & slow stitch

Do you have a beautiful fabric that you have been keeping for a special project or drawers of scraps that are just waiting to be used? Do you have unfinished cross stitch or embroideries tucked away in a drawer? Do you have serviettes, table cloths or hankies with embroidery that are oh so pretty but you never use them? Do you like the idea of some slow stitching to soothe your soul and upcycle some of the things you have been keeping for that special project?

We know a lot of you are going to be nodding and saying yes at this point - this series of mini workshops is for YOU.

In this series of mini workshops, Award Winning Quilter Ann Caldicott will teach you how to achieve gorgeous hexagons using your fabric, napery, old embroidery, unfinished embroideries. We hope you will bring your stash of fabrics and share to create the hexies that will be used to complete the projects.

Tessa will guide the class in finishing techniques and construction so that your hexies are beauitfully finished into usable items, giving new life to your special collection of fabrics and embellishing with vintage and new trims, ribbon and buttons. We will have a selection of bits and pieces on hand from finished hexies to serviettes/doilies/mats to trims for you to add to your finished piece.
