The Gang-Gang Cockatoo
These birds are endemic to south eastern Australia. They are a small, stocky cockatoo with a wispy crest, large, broad wings, and a short tail. The adult male has a distinctive scarlet red head and crest, with the rest of the body a slate grey colour. The Gang-gang cockatoo loves to eat sawfly larvae and enjoy gnawing on branches and tree hollows to sharpen their beaks.
This embroidery pattern is suitable for all skill levels. Stitches used: Satin Stitch, French Knot, Long Stitch, Seed Stitch, Fly Stitch, Spilt stitch, Reverse Chain and Straight stitch.
